Textile Factories

Hey Guys,
When you work in fashion, one of the most beautiful and exciting parts of your job is when you have to visit the factories. Working close with the suppliers you learn a lot in terms of materials, techniques, washes, and so on.
These places are changing a lot with the pass of the time. I think they are losing the magic and the authenticity and getting mainstreams and new, everything nowadays is cheap & same as the companies try to increase the margin reducing the costs.
Have a look of this pictures and let me know if these factories have some special?!

Overall

Hey Guys,
Do you like overalls?! This garment is in trend for the couple of seasons and I think that if you choose a nice one in terms of design, pattern and material/color combine with great accessories, you can rock it!
Overall is a chiefly British term for a one-piece garment with long legs and long or short sleeves, fastening up the front of the torso with a zip, buttons, velcro or press studs. Typically made from denim or heavyweight cotton, overalls are traditionally worn by manual labourers, and feature many pockets to hold tools, and so on. Maybe donned over normal clothing for protection against dirt, bad weather, etc. Also called “boilersuit” and “coveralls”.
A second definition is a chiefly US term for trousers that feature an attached front section that covers the chest, and shoulder straps to hold the garment up. Originally made of calico, now they are often made out of denim or a similar hard-wearing material. Also called “bib-and-brace”, “bib overalls” and “dungarees”.
I leave you some pictures of overall examples:

P.V.C. (Polyvinyl Chloride)

Hey Guys,
Looks like rain and wind is coming in our life again and it makes to recover winter garments. PVC?! Why not?! PVC or polyvinyl chloride, was first used in fashion by none other than Mary Quant. The year was 1963, and Quant was enthralled by a fabric that was not just shiny, and vaguely space age, but also waterproof and cheap. What?! yes yes, waterproof and cheap, so sounds perfect for this period, is not?!
Time is passing if you do not have your piece, also play with colors and let’s considered metallic effects.

music festivals

Hey Guys,
Spring is already here and with it the music festivals are starting; and that is means music, festival’s styles, fun, friends, trips, sun, and so on. Do you have in mind your styles for them or not?! The music festivals are also an inspiration to catch good offers in terms of trends and styles, as for example the styles in SXSW Austin festival.
The first South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival (SXSW) was held in 1987 in Austin, Texas. Austin was considered a fairly cosmopolitan town for its size because of the University of Texas, which draws people from all over the world.

La Brocanterie

Hey Guys,
Last Sunday, I had and amazing morning in the Rastro-Madrid (It has started since S.XIX). Rastro is a really special place for local people and the major never makes changes on it; so, for this reason sometimes looks like a totally mess everything in the street but it is a emblematic flea market. You have to appreciate it! Moreover, it is the best plan after a night partying or before a nice brunch or meal.
After a wonderful walk because of the sunny day, I have founded myself inside of a great store who offers furniture, objects and little things to decorate your house, events,… with a vintage, retro, art decó, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s touch. This store is called “La Brocanterie” and it is handle by two amazing guys, They allowed me to take some pictures and these are some of them.

I hope you like them and if you go to the Rastro never forget to pass by this store “La Brocanterie”. They are open until 14.30pm and you can follow them in Facebook.

Denim

Hey Guys,
Working for a Denim Brand, I have started to understand this world and all the possibilities it has. When you work with experts in denim, you realize that they have something special, showing a huge love and passion for this material and I have never seen in other place; maybe in Haute Couture.
Denim is amazing because you can play a lot with it, doing a total look in denim or combine with other materials and make an awesome outfit. You can see in the following pictures different fits, colors, washes, destroys, patches (really trend right now, take your vintage one from the past and put it all over your denim clothes), patchworks, and so on. I love denim and I hope you too.

Hey Guys,

Still playing with fashion or it is so exhausted?! hahahaha. For those who still fighting, play with small details. Small details could be a hair cut, beard, moustache, glasses or sunglasses, earrings, rings, tattoos, and so on. They can ruin your whole outfit but if you use them in a good way they can make your outfit shine and speechless, so you are going to be the Queen or King of the party.
